Makinde Presents Staff Of Office To New Soun Of Ogbomoso

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, presented the staff of office and instrument of office to the new Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye.

Makinde, during the event, which took place at the Ogbomoso township stadium, noted that the presentations were done in line with his power as the governor of the state.

He said that the presentations signified the official confirmation of the new monarch as the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso.

Makinde said, “In exercise of the power, I hereby confirm Oba Ghandi Olaoye Orumogege III as the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso land.

“I will hand over the instrument to the office and I will also hand over the staff of the office.”

Celebrations later followed the official presentation of staff of Office to the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III by Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde.

Oba Ghandi, in his speech titled; “My dream and my Reality,” after receiving the instrument and staff of Office from Governor Makinde, expressed gratitude to God and all who have made the day a reality.
