A Turkish Member of Parliament, Hasan Bismet on Tuesday slumped to the floor after reportedly suffering a heart attack during a plenary session after speaking out strongly against Israel and saying that it would suffer the ‘wrath of Allah.’

In a video posted by Visegrad 24, Mr Hasan is seen slumping to the floor shortly after he attacked the Israeli government for its ongoing attack in Gaza.
“Drama in the Turkish Parliament today. The MP Hasan Bismet spoke out strongly against Israel, and shouted about Israeli suffering the ‘wrath of Allah’. Seconds later, he had a heart attack,” Visegrad 24 captioned the video.
Fellow members of the parliament quickly rushed to his side.
Time of Israel quoted Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca as saying Bitmez was hospitalised and his condition was “extremely critical and serious.”

In November, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also called Israel a “terror state”, while condemning the assault on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Erdogan said that Israel’s military campaign against the Palestinian armed group Hamas included “the most treacherous attacks in human history” with “unlimited” support from the West.
He called for Israeli leaders to be tried for war crimes at the International Court of Justice in The Hague and repeated his view – and Turkey’s position – that Hamas is not a “terrorist organisation” but a political party that won the last Palestinian legislative elections held in 2006.
Israel has been criticised for its scope of retaliation against Hamas for its October 7 cross-border attack that killed 1,200 people and took 240 as hostages, according to Israeli tallies.
About 100 hostages have since been freed.
However, 18,205 people have been killed while nearly 50,000 have been wounded by Israel’s retaliatory assault, according to the Gaza health ministry.
