Ajaero: Labour Begins Nationwide Strike Nov 14
Organised labour has declared a nationwide strike, scheduled to commence on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
The union leaders also declared a “total action” against the Imo State Government, in protest of the brutalisation of President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), which is billed to commence as from 12 midnight November 7.
Speaking on Tuesday during a press briefing after a joint emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the NLC and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) in Abuja, Labour also resolved to commence a nationwide strike on Tuesday, 14th November 2023, if their earlier demands were not met by the federal and Imo state governments.
