Nigerians Will Forever Be Grateful To Pa Akinkunmi- FG

The Minister for information and National Orientation, Idris Malagi has described the death of the designer of the Nigerian flag, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi as one that cannot be forgotten in a hurry, adding that Nigerians will forever be grateful to him.

The delegation of the Federal Government, led by Idris Malagi on Monday, September 4, stated this when they met the family of the late Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi in their Kuola, Ibadan residence.
The Minister was accompanied by the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Garba Abari, the Zonal Director of the National Television Authority (NTA), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Zonal Director, and the Zonal Director, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Olawale Afolabi among others.
“Nigerians shared in their grief and the Federal Government will stand by the family which is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s hope for National rebirth and orientation that Pa Akinkunmi saw in his 20s, when he designed the flag.
“Nigerians will forever be grateful to him for his gesture, we all know that the President is leading the renewed hope for better Nigeria,” he said.
While speaking on behalf of the family, Remi Akinkunmi expressed gratitude to the government for having them in mind.
The Minister however, urged.the youths to believe in Nigeria and called on Nigerians to come together to build the country.
Recall that Pa Akinkunmi died last week Tuesday at the age of 86 after a brief illness.
