Yahaya Bello Receives Kabba-Bunu APC Leaders, Says He Has Nothing Against Duro Meseko
Governor Yahaya Bello has received leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kabba-Bunu Local Government area as they visited him to pledge their loyalty and unalloyed support to his administration.
While speaking, the Governor appreciated them for their support and cooperation thus far, noted that he is ready to work with anyone or group that show commitment towards the development of the state and the party.
According to him, he did not have any personal issues with Hon. Duro Meseko as an individual and as a leader he has put everything that happened which led to his emergence as DNPS behind him.
Earlier, the delegation disclosed in a meeting held with Governor Yahaya Bello yesterday where three of the leaders joined the Deputy National Publicity Secretary on behalf of other leaders of the party in the area to assure the Governor of their loyalty and unalloyed support.
They said despite the upheaval that trailed his emergence, Hon Meseko has promised to work with the leadership of the party in the state led by Governor Yahaya Bello, stressing that he will remain committed to the growth and success of the party in not only Kogi state but the entire country.
“We are here on behalf of other leaders of the party in the local government to inform His Excellency that we have no reason not to work with the leadership of the party in the state, with what the administration is doing in the local government, the Kabba township roads, the Government Model Science Secondary school in Okebukun and newly established Kogi State University in Kabba is more than enough to remain committed and loyal to the leadership of the party in the state,” they assured.
They said the party will remain united in the local government to deliver an overwhelming victory to Ododo/Joel come November 11 Governorship election in the state.
They also appreciated the Governor for his fatherly role of accommodating all irrespective of their tribe and religion beliefs, thanked him for appointing Barrister Alfred Bello as a member of the Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission to replace Hon Duro Meseko who until his emergence as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary and member of the National Working Committee of the party, was a member of the commission.
Those in the delegation included Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), HE, Adebanji David Jimoh, Hon. Duro Meseko and Barrister Alfred Bello.
