A former Commissioner for Special Duties, Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, Honourable Femi Adekanmbi has congratulated Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde and Kolade Akinjo on their appointments as board members of Niger Delta Development.

The Federal government on Tuesday announced the appointment of Honourable Abegunde, a former Reps member and Secretary to the State Government in Ondo State as Executive Director, Corporate Services and Hon. Kolade Akinjo, two term member of the House of Representatives, as representatives of Ondo State on the board of the interventionist agency.

In a congratulatory message by Adekanmbi, he described the appointment of Abegunde popularly known as “Abena” as a credible choice.

“Abegunde, a great party mobilizer is well equipped for the task of bringing the desirable changes.

“He worked tirelessly for the emergence of President Tinubu before and, during the presidential elections using the “SWAGA” group to promote the bid of President Tinubu in the South West and beyond.

“Hon. Kolade Akinjo, though a Peoples Democratic Party member, his appointment is well deserved. He is from the oil rich region of Ondo State and a value addition to the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Hon. Akinjo is eminently qualified to represent Ondo State on the board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

“I congratulate the two worthy sons of Ondo State on their appointments by the president. Their appointment heralds a new dawn for the good people of Ondo State,” he said.
