Group warns against smear campaign against Ondo Deputy Governor

A socio-political group, under the auspices of Ondo Mastermind, have asked security agents to clamp down on agent provocateurs, and disgruntled individuals, circulating fake news against the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

The group warned those peddling the fake news to desist or have them to contend with as security agents are closing in on them and their sponsors.

The group said the allegations against the Deputy Governor are not only spurious and concocted blackmail but a fabricated fallacy by disgruntled elements who are out to smear the good name of the office he represent.

The group said the agents of destruct should not bring the person or the office of the Deputy Governor into ridicule for political gains.

In a statement signed by Chairman of the group, Engr Sola Adesoji, said the Deputy Governor is a complete gentleman who is piloting the state affairs with utmost decency and in conformity to the prevailing standards of what is right.

Adesoji said “Let us set the record straight, if at all the Deputy Governor and his wife had issues. Did Mrs Aiyedatiwa complain to anyone? Why is the issue a subject of public discourse? The whole scheming is about 2024 .

“We know those behind the plot to get Lucky Aiyedatiwa out of the way. They started with the issue of wife battery, when that could not fly, they resort to his academic qualifications”

“The Deputy Governor is a complete family man with no history of wife battery. Here is a man who puts the needs of his family ahead of his own. He has demonstrated selfless and sacrificial love to his wife and children”

The group stated that Mr Aiyedatiwa deserves a pass mark on his performance in the absence of the Governor of the state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

“He has done very well to calm down tempers and everyone in the state can attest to that”

“We advised those behind to retrace their steps. To the glory God, he’s the Deputy Governor of the State, if he’s destined to be the Governor”

According to the group “The reason for all these malicious write up is because of the governorship election in 2024. Those writing thrash cannot stop what God has destined”

“Political opponents of Aiyedatiwa are on a clandestine mission to disrepute him to help them gain an advantage in the power play currently going on in the state”

“Aiyedatiwa has good intentions and he remains loyal to his boss, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu”, the group said.
