Presidency Unveils Activities For 2023 Presidential Inauguration
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman, Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Boss Mustapha has unveiled the 2023 Presidential Inauguration, which began on Thursday May 17 and ends on Sunday May 28, 2023.
Addressing journalists at a World Press Conference on Thursday, 18th May, 2023 at the Rotunda Hall , Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CBD, Abuja, Mustapha said that Regimental Dinner in honour of the Commander in Chief holds on Tuesday May 23, at the Armed Forces Officers Mess @ 7:00pm
On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, a valedictory Federal Executive Council Meeting will hold at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa.
Investiture of the President-Elect and Vice-President-Elect with the National Honours of Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and Grand Commander of Order of the Niger (GCON) respectively and Handover of Transition Documents will hold on Thursday May 25 at the State House Conference Centre @ 10:00am and guests are to be seated by 9:00am.
Public Lecture and Jumaat Prayer holds at the National Mosque, Abuja on May 26, 2023 @ 10:00am & 1:30 pm. Inauguration Lecture on the topic: “Deepening Democracy for Integration and Development” by His Excellency, Uhuru M. Kenyatta, former President of Kenya, holds on Saturday May 27, 2023 at the International Conference Centre, @ 10:00am and guests are to be seated by 9:00am, while Children’s Day Program Parade, and Children’s Party will hold on the same day at the Old Parade Ground @ 10:00am and State House Conference Centre @ 2:00pm.
There would be Inter-denominational Church Service at the National Christian Centre on Sunday May 28, 2023 @ 10:00am, and congregation is to be seated by 9:00am.
Inauguration Dinner/Gala Night at the State House Conference Centre is slated for the same day at @7:00pm and guests are to be seated by 6:00 pm.
Inauguration Parade/Swearing-In,
Eagle Square, CBD holds on Monday May 29, 2023 at 10:00 am and all guests are to be seated by 8:30am, while Post Inauguration Luncheon is slated for the same day.
There would also be State House Banquet Hall @ 1:30 pm, strictly for Mr. President with other Presidents, Heads of Government and his invited guests.
Mustapha revealed that all the events will be broadcast live on all major stations and streamed on various social media platforms.
He added that detailed information, including accreditation arrangements, would be provided by the Media and Publicity sub-Committee.
“So far, invitations have been sent to the Presidents and Heads of Government as well as Heads of International Organisations. We are also glad to report that many of these invitees have confirmed attendance in person,” he said.
