APC Chieftain Lambasts Iyabo Over Comments On Obasanjo

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Lagos State interim Assistant Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Funsho Ologunde, has come real had on Iyabo Obasanjo, for describing her father, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as a liar, manipulator, two-faced hypocrite who is  determined to foist on President Goodluck Jonathan what no one would contemplate with him as president.

Chief Ologunde while speaking with P.M.NEWS this morning via telephone call, regretted that this is what the ex-president is getting after making Iyabo what she could not have ever become in her life time.
“This is just living true to the type of children Chief Obasanjo has. Children who do not have regard for their parents, children who will take their parents to the cleaners for no justifiable reasons.
“Children who live on the achievements of their parents but are very quick to disown such parents.

“First, it was Gbenga Obasanjo who told the whole world that his father does not know the year he was born, that he had consistently lied about his age. That Obasanjo was sleeping with his wife. It was a highly distasteful, most embarrassing  and humiliating statement from a son to his father.
“After Obasanjo made Iyabo to be what she could never would have been in her life time. First she was a commissioner in Ogun State, a position she did not deserve and later an unmerited Senator that she was rigged into the senate by her father.
“Now the payback her Obasanjo is getting from her is this type of distasteful reaction and condemnation of her father. All Nigerians, particularly al parents and in particular, the elderly ones of Obasanjo’s age should weep and not smile about this development.
“Definitely all children will not behave like this to their parents because if a father or mother shit uncontrollably and uses diaper before leaving the house, it is not from the children that the world should hear such statement,” he said.
Senator Iyabo Obasanjo was alleged to have accused her father of having an egoistic crave for power and living a life where only men of low esteem and intellect thrive in a letter sent to him.
In the 11-page letter dated December 16, 2013 and exclusively obtained by Vanguard, Iyabo accused her father of orchestrating a third term for himself as president, cruelty to family members, abandonment of children and grandchildren, and also, a legendary reputation of maltreatment of women.
Iyabo who forswore further political engagements in Nigeria denied any political motive for her missive, and described Nigeria as a country where her father and his ilk have helped to create a situation where smart, capable people bend down to imbeciles to survive.
She particularly noted her experience as chairman of the Senate Committee on Health when she led the committee on a retreat appropriated for in the budget only for her to be prosecuted for it.
Iyabo, first child of the former president, started the letter titled, Open Letter to my Father with a 4th century Chinese proverb by Mencius which states: “The great man is he who does not lose his child’s heart.”
