First Weekly Magazine Celebrates Kemi Nelson On Birthday
The management and staff of First Weekly Magazine, publishers of www.firstweeklymagazine.com, has described the late Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson as a rare gem, as her first posthumous birthday comes up on Thursday February 9, 2023.
Recall that the late former Zonal Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was called into glory on July 17, 2022 at 66.
According to the Publisher of First Weekly Magazine, Prince Ekundayo Asaju, Kemi Nelson “was a rare gem, who bestrode this world like a colossus,” adding that she is greatly missed.
Asaju stated that Kemi Nelson was like a sister, a confidant, who he said was always there for him, just as he said she did her best for whoever moved close to her in her lifetime.
The accomplished journalist stressed that he missed Kemi Nelson everyday and that her birthday had become like an annual event to him and his family, being a woman that cared about how the people around her fared.
“Kemi Nelson was always there for me, and she was interested in my welfare. As an organization, she was like a backbone to us, she was there for me, my family and my business. I miss her everyday as a loving sister.
“It’s hard for me to realise that we are celebrating her birthday in her absence this year and I pray that her gentle soul will continue to rest in perfect peace,” he said.
Mr. Asaju however, urged the Lagos State Government to keep the memory of Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson alive by naming a monument after her.
