Ogun 2023: Afenifere Backs Labour Party’s Governorship Candidate, Sogunle

The pan Yoruba Socio-cultural Organization, Afenifere has declared its support for Comrade Kehinde Sogunle, the Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party in Ogun State in the 2023 general elections.

This declaration formed part of the decision reached at a meeting held in Abeokuta, the state capital, where the Afenifere/Labour Party collaboration committee was also ratified.

At the end of the meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Abeokuta, the group unanimously agreed to support Comrade Kehinde Sogunle and work towards his emergence as the next Governor of Ogun State in 2023.

Afenifere therefore, tasked the newly created committee to work round the clock for the actualization of the dream of giving the Labour Party a successful outing in the general election.

In his response, Comrade Sogunle thanked Afenifere for supporting his mission and that of the Labour Party in Ogun State.

Speaking further, he said; “Labour Party has a robust plan to give the people of Ogun State the best leadership they deserve. I am also in support of the one man million march in Ogun State.”

Sogunle, who was a Commissioner for Budget and Finance under former governor Gbenga Daniel of the state, promised to put his verse experience in both the public and private sectors into use if elected.
