2023: Oyo NNPP Unveils Female Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate

The Oyo State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has unveiled the Deputy gubernatorial candidate of the party.

The unveiling of the candidate, Modinat Adesope, a retired nurse and a native of Oke Ogun geo-political zone was done on Thursday.

The gubernatorial candidate of the party, Joshua Olukayode Popoola said, “We thank God for giving us this opportunity. God is greater than everybody.

“God has a reason for our existence in the party. I thank the southwest leader of the party, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeniyan. I thank you on behalf of the members of the party, I say thank you.

“You have elected me as the gubernatorial candidate and we sat together and we chose Alhaja Modinat Adesope as my running mate. I am aware that she is capable. So, our combination is a perfect combination”.

Olopoeniyan, in his remarks said that the party was ready to unseat the present governor of the state, Mr. Seyi Makinde.

He said, “We are the ones that will chase him out, and we will chase him out”.

The chairman of the party, Hon Adegbesan Adegbola, while welcoming the crowd, who came from all the geo- political zones of the state, urged the party members to go out and tell the people of the state that they have come to rescue them from the present government of the state

He added that “when the election comes in 2023, the people of the state should avoid them like plague because they lack focus and good administration, above all they are liars and betrayals.”
