Judge stops Malcolm Omirhobo from addressing court in native doctor attire
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, presided over by Justice Tijani Ringim, on Wednesday stopped activist-lawyer Malcolm Omirhobo from addressing his court dressed in his native doctor attire until he was properly dressed as a lawyer. Other of his colleagues pleaded with the judge not to allow him make an appearance in native doctor attire.
The controversial lawyer started spotting the native doctor attire after the Supreme Court ruled that female students in Lagos are free to wear hijab as part of their uniforms.
He was spotted in a court exchanging words and arguing why he cannot be stopped from making his appearance despite arguments by his colleagues.
