Your Ascension To Throne, Well Deserved — Shafaudeen Boss, Ariyo Tells New Olubadan

Founder, Spiritual Head and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide and the Mogaji OgunElu Aare Alaasa dynasty, Alhaji (Prof.) Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP has described the ascension of High Chief Lekan Balogun into the stool of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oyo State as a well deserved honour.

Olagoke stated this in a congratulatory message sent to the monarch, and which he personally signed.

The letter reads: “I write to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes on your appointment as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan Land to the throne of your fore fathers.

“Whereas your appointment to the throne of your forefathers is an honour well deserved, it serves to thrust upon you the responsibility of promoting and upholding the cultural values, traditions and heritage of the people of Ibadanland.

‘I have implicit confidence in your capability to deliver on the mandate of the office and usher in prosperity and a peaceful reign to the people of Ibadanland.

“Congratulations once again and be assured of my goodwill at all times.”

Prof . Olagoke however, charged the new Olubadan not to mix tradition with politics so as to create more respect for the stool of the Olubadan.

“Your Royal Majesty, I sincerely wish to put on record that you should use your experience in politics and tradition to separate the two institutions so that the respected image of the traditional stool will be retained,” he said.
