Oyo Government Will Soon Re-Introduce School Governing Board-Olatubosun

Oyo State Government, through its Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, has disclosed that efforts of were being made to curb the menace of kidnapping and banditry in the state, and other criminal activities in Onigaari axis of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Olatubosun, who was a guest of the Oyo State Correspondents Chapel, said that the state government was collaborating with Amotekun Corps on tackling insecurity in the state.

“Onigaari is not in our state, it’s in Ogun State. But the moment people talk about Lagos-Ibadan Expressway they automatically think it is in Ibadan, nevertheless we are talking about human lives here.

“So we have approached the Oyo State Commissioner of Police to liaise with her Ogun State counterpart to see how they could work together to flush out criminal elements in that area,” he said.

Hon. Olatubosun further disclosed that the state government was planning to re introduce school governing board.

“We are working to re-introduce school governing board when we are very sure the right things had been done to save it from being hijacked by politicians and we will ensure that it does not become a money making venture for some career officers,” he said.
