Oba Adetunji, Olubadan Of Ibadanland Dies, Popopoyemoja Palace Calm
Respected monarch and paramount ruler of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji has been reported dead.
The Olubadan joined his ancestors early on Sunday morning, January 2, 2022 at the age of 93 at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
However, when we contacted both UCH and the Popoyemoja, Ibadan Palace of the monarch, we were asked to wait for confirmation.
Said Toye Akinrinlola “we are still not aware but I am already working on it. I will get back to you as soon as possible.”
Our contact at the Palace said “I am not aware. The palace is calm. I cannot confirm to you.”
