SANUSI: Kano govt rejects court’s ruling, Says ex Emir remains banished
Ganduje’s Kano State government has outrightly rejected the court judgment declaring the banishment of deposed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, and the award of N10 million to him as compensation.
In a response to the ruling made yesterday by Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court, Abuja, the Commissioner for Justice Attorney-General, Musa Lawal, in an interview today held with a Kano-based online news platform, Solace, insisted that the Nigerian constitution recognises both tradition and custom and that they should be protected.
