Former FCT minister, Sunday Ewuga abducted by gunmen in Plateau

Suspected gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a former Senator and Minister of State in the Federal Capital Territory.(FCT).

Solomon Sunday Ewuga around Gudi in the Akwanga local government area of Plateau State.

The incident is said to have happened on the evening of Tuesday, September 28th, 2021.

The former Senator who represented Nasarawa North Senatorial district from 2011-2015 was returning home when the gunmen waylaid and abducted him.

Further details of the abduction are still sketchy at the moment. A close associate of the family said “we are in a straight to answer calls now.”

Sunday Ewuga was vice-chairman of three different Senate committees during his tenure at the National Assembly.

The State Police Command is yet to comment on the incident.

This is just a case of the incessant kidnapping happening across the country.

Only yesterday, The Street Journal reported that unknown gunmen abducted Air Vice Marshal Sikiru Smith (retd.), in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

Sikiru Smith, who is a cousin to a former Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and current Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Musiliu Smith, was supervising work on a site in the Ajah area when the hooded gunmen invaded the place, shot sporadically, and whisked the retired general away in a waiting speedboat and sped away.
