Nigeria still slip-ups in the dark despite abundant resources ? Olumakaiye
Bamisebi expressed surprise, Nigerian leaders, stirring out policies that keep Nigeria moving in circles.
The Bishop made this known at the 3rd Session of the 34th Synod, held at Our Saviour’s Church in Lagos.
The Clergyman noted that the situation makes Nigerian citizens continue to languish in poverty, experience deprivation and suffer.
Bamisebi, who presided over the Synod as the President, said the Nigerian government has not given priorities to the value of life as life is treated as a cheap commodity.
He added that the world is increasingly unstable as everything seems to be at standstill, noting that the cost of living is absolutely unbearable got the majority of the citizens.
“Nigeria still slips-ups amazingly in the dark in spite of our abundant human and natural resources in the country as this is not only demoralizing but unspeakable.
“Those at the helm of affairs stir out policies that keep Nigeria moving round in circles; hence, Nigeria citizens continue to languish in poverty, experience deprivation and suffer in the midst of abundant wealth with which the nation is endowed.
“Nowadays, unfortunately, the government in Nigeria has not given priorities to the value of life, life is treated as a cheap commodity.
“We are in a world which is increasingly unstable; everything seems to be at a standstill.
“The Cost of living is absolutely unbearable for the majority of the citizens, troubles here and there, rumours of ethic wars.” He said
