Wike awards N27.6bn road contracts
Rivers Executive Council has approved construction of the Trans-Kalabari and Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono road projects at the cost of N27.6bn.
A statement by the Special Assistant to Governor Nyesom Wike on Media, Kelvin Ebiri said the roads would be completed within the next 14 months.
The council’s meeting, which held at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Wednesday was presided over by Wike.
The Commissioner of Works, Elloka Tasie-Amadi, said the Trans-Kalabari road would be 13.599 kilometers long and would be executed by Lukrick Construction Company.
He explained the road would connect many communities such as Krakama, Omekwe-ama, Angula-ama and Mina-ama among others in the Kalabari area of the State.
