Head of the prestigious Akin-Olugbade family of Owu, Egba Land in Ogun State, South Western Nigeria, Omo Oba Sunmade Babajimi Akin-Olugbade has revealed how the illustrious son of the family and legal luminary, Prince Boluwasanmi Adegboyega Akin-Olugbade spent his last moments on earth before his sudden death.
This was contained in a report monitored on an online platform, www.asabeafrika.com.
Bolu Akin-Olugbade was said to have died of the complications of the dreaded Coronavirus on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
Omo-Oba Sunmade Akin-Olugbade expressed concern about the hopeless state of the Nigerian health system and how 21 Years of Democracy have failed Nigerians.
The trained Economist used the opportunity to vent his provoked anger on the alleged dubious and non-performing political class and equally lamented a future full of uncertainty except a very drastic measure is taken by every Nigerian, especially the youth.
On how his rich and famous brother cum Rolls Royce collector, Aare (Dr.) Bolu Akin-Olugbade (Ph-D) died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, the head of the Akin-Olugbade family gave a shocking insight.
Omoba Sunmade Akin-Olugbade said that Prince Bolu Akin-Olugbade was okay medically prior to his death and that he attended several ceremonies during Christmas celebration.
He added that Prince Bolu Akin-Olugbade attended the last Owu Festival and that he was full of life then.
“There was nothing wrong with him until a day before the New Year, when he said that he was not feeling fine.
“We sent him ginger and bitter kola and he later said that he was finding it difficult to breathe. I sent someone to take oxygen to his house.
“Dr. Yemi Johnson, Mrs. Derin Awosika and Dr. Adesegun Akin-Olugbade attended to him. The situation got so bad that we rushed him to the hospital, but he couldn’t get a bed,” he said.
Omoba Sunmade then condemned Nigerian politicians, who he said had not done well for the country.
He stated that the Nigerian politicians have commercialised everything, adding that Nigerians now have to provide their own water, electricity, fix roads and provide security for themselves.
