Immigration Promotes Jummai Minimah Assistant Comptroller
The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Muhammad Babandede has promoted Jummai Minimah to Assistant Comptroller General of NIS.
Until her recent elevation she was a Chief Superintendent in the Service.
Minimah has worked in many departments and units in the NIS rising to her present position. She distinguished herself in her role as an officer at the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Alien Card (CERPAC) unit.
This promotion is coming a few weeks after 100 officers were similarly promoted by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Board (CDCFIB), vide a letter referenced CDCFIB/NIS/DTS/CORR/503/138.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the NIS, Sunday James, the total number of senior officers promoted include; 29 Comptrollers of Immigration Service (CIS) promoted to Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGs), while 71 Deputy Comptrollers of Immigration (DCI) were promoted to Comptrollers of Immigration Service (CIS).
