Man of God, Prophet Sunday Iyunade Warns Of Scourge Deadlier Than Coronavirus
The General Overseer of Pentecostal Sanctuary Bible Ministries, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Prophet Sunday Dare Iyunade has said that the dreaded Coronavirus is a sign of the end time, but that other viruses that are stronger than Coronavirus were still coming.
Iyunade then urged the World Health Organization to be prepared, adding that God is using Coronavirus to deal with the secret alliance of some world power.
The cleric however, said that Coronavirus would soon be wiped out, while relating it with the biblical story, where God visited the children of Isreal with a disease after a sin committed by King David, adding that the disease was later wiped away by God Himself.
He then, said that there is nothing the power of God cannot conquer, but that God is using Coronavirus to disorganise some powers.
“God can stop it as He did with Ebola Virus, when we prayed to Him. All church leaders and mosques prayed against Ebola Virus and it was conquered.
“In the Bible, King David did something wrong and God sent a virus to the land that killed many people, but after prayers, the virus was stopped,” he said.
The man of God disclosed this on Wednesday 11th March, 2020 at a press conference to mark the 24th anniversary of the Ministry and its 18th Annual Convention.
On the Anniversary and Convention with the theme; “Maranatha,” Iyunade revealed that there would be a rally on Sunday 22nd March, and evening programmes from Monday 23rd to Thursday 26th March.
He added that there would be Ministers and Believers Conference in the morning of Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th, and a vigil on Friday 27th at the camp of the church along Eruwon-Atan Road as well as thanksgiving service at the same venue on Sunday 29th, March.
The respected cleric added that Maranatha means “The Lord Cometh” and that all the bad occurrences in the world are parts of the signs of the end time.
“We need to be careful. Terrible things will continue to happen all over the world till the end of the world.
“What brought about the theme is because the coming of Christ is closer. It is a means of creating an awareness.
“Even the people of other religions such as Muslims believe that Jesus Christ is coming back soon.
“They are also waiting for his second coming. Even in the Asian religion, they believe that Jesus is coming back. All the signs he told us have started manifesting, so we must be prepared,” he said.
The man of God used the occassion to enjoin Christians to be involved in politics, and said that with the way things were going now if they were not involved, things would not be better.
He stated further that no region in Nigeria would go anywhere, and that the country would continue to remain one.
“The agitations of the people of the South East would not be fruitful. They can use it to correct some things in the country. It is not the plan of God for them to go, so they are not going anywhere.
“We need to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari. He is trying his best, but there is a spiritual battle against him.
“I pity him for all his efforts that have not yielded fruits.
I told you in 2014 that if he emerged as the Nigerian President he would draw the country backward. I said you would only laugh for only three months under his government, has it not happened,” he said.
Pastor Iyunade said further that solution was on the way for Nigeria and that God is going to prove to the present government “and all their cronies that He reigns in the affairs of men as God has heard the cry of His people in Nigeria.”
He said that he did not know when it will happen, but that a new leader will emerge and that all those seeking to become new leaders in the nation were not going to be chosen, adding that it will be an entirely new leader.
According to him, before 2023, the present political structure will be disorganized “as we hear of many disasters to the political class. There will be political shaking. Don’t be surprised, when you start to hear of sudden death among the leadership as God will remove the enemies of Nigeria for the new leadership.”
While saying that Nigerins must all pray for things to get better, Pastor Iyunade said that the removal of former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi would lead to more troubles for the country.
He stated that he predicted to his church members on Sunday that a powerful person in the north would lose his power, adding that many groups will spring up in the north over the development and that this would lead to violence.
The man of God, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, said that he would not say he had been fulfilled, but that he is thanking God for where he is.
“I have been in the house of God since January, 1984 and I thank God for life and everything. The birthday, which held on February 22, 2020. was low key because my daughter got married on Saturday March 7,” he said.
On the South West security outfit, Amotekun, the man of God said that it cannot work, and that it is just a dog to bark, and to threaten.
“Amotekun cannot save the South West, but it can raise an alarm. The power behind Nigerian security is the power that rules the country.
“Amotekun is not backed by law and it cannot do what other security forces failed to do.
“The border is being controlled by the Federal Government and they are even talking about state police now to check an outfit like Amotekun, which is just meant to checkmate some forces, but they have no legal backing to carry arms,” he said.
The cleric pointed out that terrorists have helicopters that are distributing food and ammunition to their men all over the country and that the Nigeria police and other forces cannot get them, saying that all the weapons of the terrorists are well kept.
He added that the terrorists have killed several army officers and that they have killed many people in Christian dominated states such as Kaduna, Taraba, Nassarawa and others.
“The terrorists attack Christian communities more and the Nigerian army have not been able to arrest them. The terrorists have sophisticated weapons including helicopter and fighter jets,” he said
Book Haram, he said is not a strange organization, adding that it is another weapon of another religion to spread through violence.
He alleged that Boko Haram is being funded by some powerful people in Nigeria, and some religious organizations, and that they have access to fund, but that the Nigerian Army didn’t have their kind of money.
“They have a mission and Christian organizations don’t have the kind of funds they have, but we just have to pray to God to help us.
“They have a doctrine that is very powerful. But prayers can change their hearts and turn things around. We can pray against their ideology. “When we pray, God will answer. Christianity brings peace and enlightenment, but the other religion preaches violence,” he said.
