Chidinma Emerges Most Successful Female MTN Project Fame Winner

Prior to 2010, Chidinma Ekile was relatively unknown in the music industry. The young, petite and beautiful lady might have been nursing an ambition to enter the music industry before that year, but nobody knew her until she entered the Project Fame Academy, a reality show sponsored by telecoms giant, MTN to develop talents in the music industry.
Chidinma subsequently found herself in the public glare after coming first in the 2010 edition of the annual event. She went ahead to release her hit single entitled; ‘Kedike,’ through which she became a star musician that is still making waves till date.
The talented artiste has since then been featuring in major music events apart from becoming an Ambassador of MTN Nigeria and having duets with star musicians in the country.
Chidinma is currently the most successful female winner of MTN Project Fame, while star musician, Nyanya, who won the first edition of the reality show, is the most product of the academy.
Just recently, the petite singer took delivery of a brand new Range Rover that is worth N10Million.
The young lady took to her instagram page to share the good news with her fan.
She posted a photo of herself inside her new ride with caption:
‘I love this new ride… #biggerandbetter #hardworkpays #mysweat #notagift #hello2014 #glorytoGodnotman #moreworktobedone #Godisfaithful,‘
She wrote, hinting that her new toy isn’t a gift but bought from her hard earned money.
These new additions make it two SUVs Chidinma currently has.
Chidinma Ekile (born 2 May 1991), popularly known by her stage name Chidinma, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, recording artist and stage performer.
In 2010, she rose to stardom after winning the third season of MTN Project Fame West Africa. Following the release of the music video for her “Emi Ni Baller” single, she became the first female musician to peak at number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart.

In 2011, she released her first solo single “Jankoliko” featuring Sound Sultan. Chidinma, her self-titled debut studio album, was released through the music platform Spinlet. It was supported by the singles “Jankoliko”, “Carry You Go”, “Kedike”, and “Run Dia Mouth”.
The album features guest appearances from Sound Sultan, Tha Suspect, Olamide, and Muna.
In 2012, Chidinma won the Best Female West African Act category at the 2012 Kora Awards; she performed “Kedike” at the ceremony. Chidinma recently released a new track titled ‘MARTHA.’
