ELECTION 2019: Religious Clerics in Kano set to Canvas Supports for Ganduje’s Re-election.
Statement from ruling party in Kano indicates that some Islamic clerics in the state are set to canvas massive support for the re-election of the state governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The clerics which are numbered as 26 are presently serving in a campaign committee which will officially superintend by the special adviser to the governor on religious affairs Ali Baba Agama Lafiya.
It is said to be peculiar for religious clerics to be campaigning for a particular party.
Previously, Islamic scholars are known to be very timid and sceptical to engage in neck-deep politics, but spiritually known for preaching in choosing potentially God-fearing candidates who would serve wholeheartedly.for the betterment of the people.
