Osun rerun: Atiku speaks on security agencies harassing voters, tells INEC what to do
A former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Thursday reacted to reports of security operatives intimidating and harassing voters in the ongoing Osun rerun governorship election.
The Waziri of Adamawa described the action as unacceptable and must stop.
In a tweet, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential aspirant warned that the rerun was widely monitored within and outside Nigeria.
He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to redeem its image by been impartial.
“Reports about voters & observers intimidation by security agents in Osun rerun election is unacceptable & must be stopped.
“The rerun is being widely monitored in Nigeria & beyond. I hope that @inecnigeria will redeem its pledge of being an impartial umpire. #OsunDecides2018,” he tweeted.
