Shehu Sani picks senatorial nomination forms

The senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, on Saturday picked his nomination form under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The senator picked the form at APC headquarters in Abuja amidst a crowd.

He was accompanied by his supporters from the seven Local Government Areas of Kaduna State under his constituency.

Addressing his supporters prior to picking the form, Mr Sani told them to sustain the momentum as they have always done especially with the 2019 general elections around the corner.

The lawmaker, who promised more proactive representation and more quality leadership delivery, thanked his supporters for their unflinching support.

“We appreciate your immense contributions for the growth and progress of the party both in the state and the nation.

“Your presence here today in Abuja to demonstrate your support for me while I buy the nomination (form) for the senate is a sign of your dedication to the APC,” he said.

According to him, with their strong support, victory at the polls will be theirs.

He also assured them that he will not disappoint them as he emphasised in Hausa language on the need for direct primary election.

It was reported that the senator and other aspirants under the APC kicked against the adoption of indirect primaries as a mode of election by the party in the state.
