Cultists stab AAUA admission seeker to death in Ondo
Tragedy struck over the weekend in Ondo state when a 23-year-old admission seeker, Felix Olowookere, was killed by suspected cultists believed to be students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA.
According to the father of the deceased, Mr. Olowookere, the incident occurred when the family was away for Sunday service to thank God for the successful wedding ceremony of their daughter on Saturday.
He said that his son, who used to repair phones and laptops, was killed by one of the students who was owing the deceased N3,500 in connivance with some cultists.
The deceased, who was stabbed with a broken bottle, was said to be seeking admission into Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko before his untimely death.
Confirming the incident, the Police Area Commander for Akoko, Mr Razak Rauf said those involved in the killing were now at large, but that the police is on their trail and will soon apprehend them.
Meanwhile, the corpse has been deposited at the mortuary of Ikare Akoko specialist hospital.
The incident has forced youths to embark on a protest in the university town.
