We’ll Respond In Equal Measure If Attacked, Fayemi Campaign Warns Fayose

It has come to our notice that Governor Ayodele Fayose has concluded plans to take advantage of the PDP campaign flag off tomorrow to ask hoodlums to dress as teachers and  attack members of the APC.

The plan includes coercion of teachers to attend the rally and use that opportunity to stage a protest against the candidate of APC,  Dr. Kayode Fayemi, under the pretext that he was responsible for the arrest of some teachers and principals by security agents for being in possession of teachers’ PVCS.

Hoodlums will seize this opportunity to attack members of the APC.

We call on the security agencies to warn Governor Fayose not to put the life of any teacher at risk for his selfish political ambition. Teachers are not supposed to attend political rallies, but Governor Fayose has already sent N2,000 to each teacher across the state through head-teachers to compel them to attend the flag off rally where they shall be forced to act as protesters with  attendant risk to their lives.

We call on the security agencies to ensure that PDP with its antecedents as a violent political party is not allowed to unleash terror on innocent members of the public.

Security agents are advised to warn Governor Fayose and his supporters to keep strictly to their flag off rally, as any attempt to hide under this to attack APC members shall be resisted.

Teachers are advised not to allow themselves to be used as cannon fodders by a governor who has refused to pay them their salaries for eight months.
