23 Year- Old Serial Burglary Suspect Paraded In Ibadan

In it’s effort to continue exposing the activities of unscrupulous and sinister minded elements in Oyo State, the state Police Command on Saturday January 22, 2022 apprehended a 23-year-old man, Awoola Tobi of Oleyo Ayegun road Ibadan.

It was stated in a press statement dated January 24, 2022 issued and signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Adewale Osifeso that Tobi, a habitual burglar, was arrested in connection with a case of burglary around 8pm on Thursday December 28, 2021 at Choice Plaza, Challenge Area of Ibadan, where he allegedly stole mobile phones and accessories worth about (N2,000,000) two million naira.

A copy of the statement made available to First Weekly Magazine however, revealed that Awoola Tobi was tracked down and apprehended through swift deployment of intelligence and tactical methods and he was said to be in possession of (16) Sixteen “I-Phone mobile phones,” a white earpiece, one unbranded white colored earpod, a Sony Vio laptop, one Dell laptop and a black shuttle bag.

Osifeso stressed in the statement that preliminary investigations and voluntary confessions made by the suspect revealed that he broke into the mobile phone and accessories shop unaided with the intent of stealing and re-selling the items.

He also noted that efforts were in top gear to break into his network, stressing that the State Police Command needed “the cooperation of the good people of the state in providing credible and timely information to help maintain the relative peace and tranquility being enjoyed in the state.”
